At the famous chapel of Agios Nikolaos in Anavyssos we were called once again to decorate the wedding of Marios and Chrysanthi. Two people very dear from the first moment of our meeting. Simple and unpretentious, they knew exactly what they wanted and they passed it on to us. Nice and special taste without exaggerations, meticulous ideas and the result in the following pictures.
The chapel, located on a hill, overlooks the sea making it the perfect place for a wedding ceremony. As said earlier, the couple’s aesthetic was simple, so was the decoration. We decorated the chapel by adding six ” teams ” (as we call them) of decorative items and flower arrangements. Four of them consisted of sacks, in which there were different kinds of flowers and leaves, on the moss-covered floor. In the rest two ” teams ” there were two big baskets in each, also decorated with flowers. Leading on to the west side of the chapel, a burlap cloth was placed to hide the concrete wall which was out of the couple’s aesthetic. On to it, wooden boxes and vases with flower arrangments were placed.
The table of the ceremony was covered by an ecru cloth. Behind the table where the candles, also decorated with ecru cloth and flower arrangements of baby’s breath and chamomile. The wine bottle and the glasses were decorated by us. The wedding crowns where made exclusively for the couple by our company. It was a simple wedding with a countryside vibe.
Last but not least, the lemonade table. It was the table where the guests could get Marios and Crysanthi’s bonbonnieres, some rice to throw at the couple at the end of the ceremony (traditional custom of Greece) and of course, some fresh, delicious lemonade!
